Thankfully, our prayers have been answered: TRT1 has officially announced that “Salahuddin Ayyubi” Season 1 is now premiering! TRT 1’s successful series that captivated millions of viewers, “Alparslan Büyük Selçuklu,” will now be followed by “Conqueror of Jerusalem: Saladin.”

The television series centers on the life of Salahudddin, a 12th-century Muslim ruler, and his conquest of Jerusalem. It also delves into his challenges and conflicts against the Crusaders, as well as his ambition to unify the Muslim territories of Syria, northern Mesopotamia, Palestine, and Egypt under his leadership.
Centuries ago, the story of Saladin, who liberated the holy city of Jerusalem from occupation, is set to come to the screens. The initial teaser of the series is highlighted by the renowned actor Uğur Güneş and the promise of “Justice for the World, Freedom for Jerusalem.”

Salahuddin Ayyubi Bolum 1 (season 1 episode 1) is originally scheduled to premiere both domestically in Türkiye and around the world on Monday, November 13.

How many Seasons and Episodes will have?
The TV series “Salahuddin Ayyubi” will be shot in Turkey and is planned for three seasons, each with 34 episodes. Production started on January 29, 2022, in Istanbul, where replicas of Jerusalem, Tikrit, and other cities in Syria and Egypt will be constructed. An inauguration event originally scheduled for March 2022 with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was cancelled due to political changes.
