What is Kurulus Osman.

Kurulus Osman is the protagonist of the show. He is a Turkish-American man who has been living in America for many years. He and his family are originally from Turkey, but have moved to California. Kurulus Osman is a police officer and father to two children. His goal is to find his family and bring them back home to Turkey so they can be reunited.

What happened to the Osman Family

The Osmans were killed in an accident when Kurulus was just a child. Kurulus’s father, Mehmet, died in the accident, leaving Kurulus and his mother, Fatma, with two children: Kurulus Jr. and Hasan (Hassan means “son” in Turkish). Hasan was later adopted by a family in America and became known as Hassan Jr., while Kurulus Sr. took on new identity as Fahrettin (Fahrettin means “son of Kemal”). However, even though Fahrettin is officially Turkiye-born, he still considers himself Americanized and always refers to himself as Kurulus Osman.
